Repair SDI output on UltraStudio 4K Mini?

PostSat Nov 30, 2024 7:55 pm

I recently purchased a Blackmagic Micro Converter SDI to HDMI 12G so I could apply a calibration LUT on my reference monitor across additional apps other than Resolve. However when testing the SDI connection from the Ultrastudio to the Micro Converter it won't work. I tried the connection to an Odyssey 7Q from my UltraStudio but that didn't work either. I'm using a 12G SDI cable. It looks like the SDI outputs on my Ultrastudio might not be working. Does anyone know of a place I can get it looked at?

Thanks for the help

If you just bought it, why not just return it?
OR exchange it for another one?

Just to confirm are you sure the output and input resolutions match? Also do you see an image on the US 4K mini? Finally, have you tried the HDMI output to confirm that one works.

Unlike most BM gear the warranty on the US4K Mini is 3 years. Within that time frame just get an RMA and send it back to Blackmagic. Outside of that there's probably not much to be done.

Good Luck
