M3 Ultra and UltraStudioMonitor3G

PostTue Apr 22, 2025 12:15 pm

Hi,
I'm trying to get my MiniMonitor running on the latest MacUltra M3, but it won't be visible... tried several cables, went back to 12.4 (from DesktopVideo) nothing helps... I can see it is connected in my system preferences, but it won't be visible in DesktiopVideo neither in Resolve.

I'm running newest MacOS (15.4.1) - may that be the problem?

Any ideas? Thank you so much

Hi there.

There are a few hundreds of posts regarding this I believe :)

Remove the old driver.
Install the latest and then you need to give permission or enable the driver "Blackmagic Desktop Video Driver Extension" in macOS settings for system extention.

Is this the 3G model? If not, it doesn't run on Apple Mx.
