BRAW Thumbnails not visible (Mac OS Sequoia)

Hey everyone,

since updating my Mac to macOS Sequoia, I’ve encountered a problem: when accessing .braw files, whether from my external SSD or my Mac’s hard drive, the thumbnails of these files no longer display. There’s also a thread on Reddit about this issue, where others have shared that they’re experiencing the same problem.

Same issue here with Sequoia.

And the issue persists. I can generate a preview manually, but it takes to much time.

Unfortunately yes. As of macOS 15.4.1 the bug is still clearly there. Preview for many common RAW photo formats is broken as well, unfortunately. All my e.g. Canon CR2 and CR3 files appears as black squares in Finder. Curiously enough, resizing the Finder's column renders the thumbnail, unlike BRAW videos which still show as icons.

Can not believe this didn't get fixed with 15.4.1, seriously how hard can it be?
