Linux - Multiple DeckLink cards showing in Desktop Video

PostThu May 01, 2025 9:48 pm

We have two Rocky Linux 9.3 Flame systems running identical hardware aside from the motherboards and framestore arrays. They were recently wiped and upgraded from Rocky 8.7.

An issue we're having on one of them is that the Desktop Video GUI is showing four (4) DeckLink 8K Pro cards when we only have one installed, with parenthesis after the name i.e. "DeckLink 8K Pro (1)", "DeckLink 8K Pro (2)", etc. However, when we run
Code: Select all
DesktopVideoUpdateTool --list
it correctly shows just a single card.

For context, we believe this is causing or at least compounding an issue we're having within Flame unique to this system where we're stuck with 32 tracks of audio with no way to mixdown.

Does anyone know why one of the two systems would be showing duplicate cards entries in the Desktop Video GUI?

We've attempted uninstalling and reinstalling DV but the duplicate card entries come back.

    System specs:
ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II
    128GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 32GB(2x16GB)
AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5965WX 24-Cores 3800 MHz
    EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3
    BlackMagic Design Decklink 8K Pro
