Blackmagic Media Dock net error 1208 PC Windows 11

PostMon May 05, 2025 4:17 pm

Good morning everyone,
As a loyal Blackmagic customer, the Italian distributor has provided me with a Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K FF on approval, complete with all accessories along with the Blackmagic Media Dock. I connected it to my PC via USB-C; the PC recognizes it, assigns an IP address, and when entering the credentials—whether as guest with the password guest or as WORKSHOP/guest with the password guest—I receive network error 1208.
I need to shoot on a real set in the next few days, which is why I have also rented the camera for an additional week beyond the trial period. I urgently need to resolve this issue.

Thank you
David

Sounds like a permission issue. You should contact your local Italian distributor and ask for their assistance… possibly the correct credentials and/or IP address to access it.

No is not this is the solution
Please BLACMAGIC do a step by step tutorial

I finally discovered a solution on the Mikrotik forum (even though I have a different brand router). You need to run Powershell as administrator and insert and confirm the following commands one by one:

Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false
Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters" RequireSecureNegotiate -Value 0 -Force

thanks
