SOLVED! I did all the security checks that were suggested and recommended throughout this forum and Reddit. Nothing fixed it. So over the last weekend, I decided to try out older versions of Desktop Videos. To make a long post short, every time I do the complete uninstall and reinstall of DV versions, the problem was the same. I was about to give up and some Reddit posts suggested 12.5. I was at 12.9 when I nearly gave up. I did this one last downgrade to 12.5 and behold DV recognized the UMM and asked me if I wanted to upgrade the firmware. I said yes. Set Resolve to output the video to the UMM and finally everything worked! My gosh… why wasn’t this encountered before? So I’m on Sequoia (15.5.1), running Resolve 19.1.4, Desktop Videos 12.5 on a 2017 IMac Pro, and back in business too! if this happens to you, it’s likely the version of DV and not your hardware.
