Rendering DVD & Bluray Video Discs

PostFri Jul 04, 2025 2:39 am

I'd like to publish some of my work to DVD and or Bluray discs for playback in disc players. I used to do this with DVD(s) but seems my software is so old it won't run on Windows 10. Anybody have a good DVD / Bluray video disc production software they recommend? Something that can also make the disc menus as well as appropriate file system for playback on a Video disc player.

Thanks Lucius... Are you able to get DVD Architect to work reliably in Windows 10?

I have DVD Architect 5.0. Used it years ago to create a few Video DVD projects. It's no longer supported by Magix (who bought Vegas product line). The version I have is also unstable in Windows 10. I don't think it can do a Blu-ray either but not sure as 5.0 is unstable.

Currently fiddling with DVD Flick which is freeware but it too has issues and is VERY limited. I think it can only do DVD's as well. However, I was able to build a DVD just be it one that has very limited creative flexibility.

Are there any other currently supported DVD and Blu-ray video disc design programs out there?

Well, Nero Platinum is still out there and will work for Mac and Windows:

Pegasys Authoring is another way to go:

Nero Premium? It appears to be a streamlined video editor of sorts... I don't see anything on authoring Video DVD / Blu-ray?

Have you used the TMPGEnc? Is it stable? Does it work well?

Thanks!

DVD-Lab Pro still works great here on Windows 10.
