No Video to grade monitor Resolve lite

I've had a windows 7 system built as per specs by black magic and have hooked the studio ultra sdi to the system to an HDMI monitor but am not seeing video through to the monitor. Is this a plug and play kind of set up or are there any settings that might be preventing me from even seeing a signal. I can see a signal fine in media express, so I know the ultra itself is working but not through resolve. I think I've been through all the settings in the installed ultra software and resolve but so far no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated.

In Resolve Preferences / Video IO Hardware, do you see the UltraStudio listed? If so, is it selected? If not, select it, save preferences and restart Resolve.

Now, once you have created a project and see an image on the Color page viewer, open the Project Settings window, Master Project Settings and set the Video Monitoring Format to something your display can display.
