Windows audio input is distorted in Win 10

PostThu May 06, 2021 4:16 pm

Although this is mode not many people use, sometimes is handy to have audio from Decklink card available as Windows audio input device. Sound then can be recorded by any application or used in level meters.
However, I just discovered, that this function is broken under Windows 10.
Drivers 11.6 work correctly inder Win 7, but in Win 10 some samples are wrongly timed and sound is unusable and distorted. I did not test latest 11.7 and 12.0 drivers, but from log it did not seem it was fixed recently. I can provide results of testing recordings. It happened on all my cards - SDI 4k, Duo 2, Mini recorder. Any ideas?
Thanks.
