StarTech PCIe Enclosure for DeckLink Cards?

PostWed May 12, 2021 10:03 pm

Does anyone here have any experience with this StarTech PCIe enclosure? Would like to use it with various DeckLink cards, including DL 4K Extreme 12G, DL 8K Pro, DL Quad HDMI, and DL Duo 2.

Well I haven't used the star tech version, but I have used both cubix and sonnets expansion chasis, both held a blackmagic card at some point and they worked fine...mind you I wouldn't have had the need to capture...just playback/monitoring, but the theory of the products certainly work. The sonnet one i have is thunderbolt 2 interface...the cubix was a proprietary sata connector and pcie card setup.
