Do you have questions about Desktop Video, Converters, Routers and Monitoring?

Importing from 2 cards (simultaneous rec) into Premiere

PostThu Dec 02, 2021 2:38 pm

Hi everyone,

How do you import from 2 cards (which recorded simultaneously) into Premiere (or Resolve if Premiere isn't possible)? I'm new to Blackmagic and this concept is completely alien to me!

Thanks!

If this is Blackmagic RAW footage, then the second card will have clips with the same name but different file extension (.braw2). Copy the files into the same folder as the first card, and you only need to import the clips with the regular .braw extension into Premiere/Resolve and the Blackmagic RAW SDK used by Premiere/Resolve/etc will find the other matching .braw2 files and automatically interleave the frames in the background so you don't need to do anything.

If the .braw2 files are not in the same folder the files will still work but half the frames (every other frame) will be missing and the footage will play as half the frame rate.
