Is anyone having issues creating a cloud library?

PostWed May 11, 2022 5:05 pm

I live in Portland Oregon and I can't get any credit/debit cards to go through. I've tried with multiple cards, multiple emails, Firefox, safari, chrome, my phone on 5G just in case it was my internet provider. I've even had a coworker try and create one completely separately.

Is anyone else having issues or am I doing something wrong?

Have you created an account with a USA location and also a USA issued credit card?

I'm having the same exact issue. My account is active and I am logged in. No matter what credit card or browser I use I get the same Unable to Add Payment Card error message. Meanwhile my Cloud Pod is just a paper weight and my remote editor I hired is twiddling their thumb; and my client is going to have to wait longer for their job to get done.

Having the same issue, tried like 4-5 cards now :/

Amazingly, it was able to tell me when my security code was incorrect, but can't actually charge a card.

I get you want to use the service and your new Cloud Pod. But if you’re operating your business waiting for a service and/or gear, and having your client wait longer while paying your hire to do nothing, that’s bad business execution. There are other solutions… shipping drives, Dropbox, Resillio, etc. Be creative in your execution before your business will be in a pickle.

I finally got it to work but through a loophole. I asked a friend who lives in Washington state to use his credit card on my account and it finally went through (I live in Portland, Oregon). If I were to guess it seems like some cards are blocked depending on the cards location (Zip Code).

To test this I had him try my card but from his computer and even that did not work so it seems like it's dependent on your personal credit/debit card Zip Code. This could be some glitch or bug but that's the way I got around it.

Great! None of the above pertains to me. Anyone who pays a hire to do nothing needs common sense help. I got the Cloud Pod in order to prepare for busy season. There are tons of other solutions for years now but I don't particularly like any of them for various reasons. Blackmagic Cloud is the first time I've considered switching to remote workflow because of the ease of it. It just frustrates me that I've finally found a solution and it's not working because of a payment bug. My issues have nothing to do with your business nor was I asking for business advice. Thanks for the heads up. I just want what I purchased to be working. End of transmission.

For those having trouble in the USA, please confirm if that's still the case and if so which state you are in.

I purchased a project ~30 hours ago, and it's been saying "Payment is processing" under the project server name since then. I see the charge on my bank account as having gone through.

Edit 1: Card bills in California, but project was selected in London."
Edit 2: Now it says "Project library creation failed. Try again later."

@alex, can you PM me the email id you used for the subscription and payments as we see no record of the user “Alex Gourley” having a subscription or payment processed.

A credit card from my account in Blackmagic Design Cloud has failed. On the Project Server pag my new Library has stayed in the status "processing payment". I have successfully updated the credit card for a new one, but the payment is not processed and I am blocked with the eternal wheel icon. There isn`t any Project Server option in the Support Center? Please tell me how I can proceed because I need to continue working on a collaborative project and we have the whole team waiting in Barcelona.

Thank you very much for your help!

Is there any updates why this is happening. Just wanted to purchase a Project and am stuck at the processing. It asked me to verify on the security app but I don't get any info on this app.

Help would be much appreciated.

Snap - I'm in India with an Australian card, with people waiting in USA and Indonesia. Also, the field to enter the credit card is black, so you can't see whether the card data has been entered correctly. I thought that might be the problem until I saw this thread.

Did you try a VPN? I was using BM Cloud recently with a German card in Indonesia.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

I am having similar issues - cannot create any new cloud projects. Go to login to cloud storage, it says I need to upgrade, so I try to upgrade just to get past this, and then that errors out (payment problem - I know that card is fine). So I call BM Support and they say they are aware of a problem with cloud right now and working on it. But what I didn't realize during that call is this has apparently been going on for a long time. I didn't ask for an ETA but I guess I will call back and do that.

Does anyone know if Blackmagic has a status page of some sort? This is what every professional cloud services organization uses to communicate to their customers the status of cloud services - its almost a requirement in todays world. I can't find one so I assume the answer is no.
