Using outputs on Decklink card from Windows Display Manager

PostWed Aug 10, 2022 7:44 pm

We installed a Decklink 8K Pro to a PC for Propresenter. It is flawless for pushing video over the long distance to the monitors in the facility. However, we have the occasional need to use these screens more like a standard windows monitor. However, the SDI outputs are not available to the WIndows display manager. Is there some 'mode', driver, or other way to do this in software?

Thank you.

No, they can't do that directly through the OS. You could do something like use NDI sources of those monitors and send those feeds out over the 8K card.

I was trying to find something simple. It wont be highly technical people that would use this. Its also cost prohibitive to use a $1000 switch like the Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio HD to do something like this. So, I think we are kind of stuck.
