AES is used to deliver DOLBY E.
They may have been standardised but they are both very old and mostly deprecated. Dolby digital is a no go, according to this reply from BMD themselves:
https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=52349 but there is a user there who used Dolby E. Careful with monitoring if you get it to work since it's encoded at full level and will blow speakers, if undecoded. Only the UltraStudio 4K Extreme 3 has AES, according to the specs, there is no mention of it in the DeckLink 8K Pro specs.
