Playback Problems 4K BM Production Camera Footage

PostSat Oct 01, 2022 12:44 pm

Hello everybody!

I try to play my old Blackmagic Produktion 4k Footage on my fast enough Windows PC (i7/128GB/SDD). But is plays not smooth. Neither in Avid Media Composer as linked Media nor in Windows with VLC....

Is there any software or plugin, what I should install, what I have forgotten maybe?

I am very thankful for little help.

ProRes should play pretty easily on modern hardware. Can you upload a sample?
Ryzen 5800X3D
32GB DDR4-3600
RTX 3090
DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G
Resolve Studio 17.4.1
Windows 11 Pro 21H2

That's weird, it's one of the easiest formats to play.
Maybe AI can help you. Or make you obsolete.

Studio 18.6.5, MacOS 13.6.5
MacBook M1 Pro, 16 GPU cores, 32 GB RAM and iPhone 15 Pro
Speed Editor, UltraStudio Monitor 3G, iMac 2017, eGPU
