This is related to the hardware side of using Resolve. I'm rebuilding my editing suite to include a clean feed to an LG C2. I'm on a Win11 laptop with thunderbolt.
First, I picked up an UltraStudio Monitor 3G. Worked great but I quickly realized I needed 4k. It actually connected and was discovered by the Blackmagic hardware setup tool. Great!
So I got a Decklink 4k mini card and a Sonnet pcie external box. Put it all together and...nothing. The hardware setup tool can't see it. Tried the 3G again and same thing, the setup tool can't see it. Device management does NOT see the Sonnet but it DOES see the 3G. I believe this is a BM card issue and not a Sonnet issue, mostly because the thunderbolt chain successfully passes a signal out to my other monitor. It seems that the only part not working is the card(?)
I'm sure there are a thousand variables, but is there some sort of secret sauce to getting the thunderbolt connection to work with the hardware setup tool? My thinking is if I can get the 3G working again, I'll be most of the way home with the Sonnet.
