Error when importing BRAW clips in Premiere

Hi,

Perhaps a handy heads-up to someone, but in Premiere 2019 13.1.5 (Build 47) using Blackmagic RAW 1.51, I get an error when importing BRAW clips from a folder structure where there are swedish "å, ä and ö" characters. So if my project folder is called "E:\2019-10-25 Tyresö\BMPCC4K", the importer gives the error message: Unsupported format or damaged file

This error immediately goes away when renaming the folder E:\2019-10-25 Tyreso\BMPCC4K

Resolve opens the files just fine regardless and I have no issues importing other file types from the same folder structure.

Thanks for the report, do you get an error when opening the clips in our Blackmagic RAW player?

It seems to work perfectly in the RAW player, both by double-clicking a file and opening via the File menu.

I'm on a Windows 10 machine and BRAW clips inside folders with any letters beyond the English ones - or any special character - don't play. They open to a black screen.

What version of the Blackmagic RAW player? This should be fixed from version 1.5+
