My Googling shows many BlackMagic users have complined their audio levels are too low, but I think I'm the only one where they're too high!
iMacPro, 10.14.6, running AVID Media Composer 2018 and Premiere 2019. Output to BM Ultra Studio Express via ThunderBolt 2/3 adapter. SDI video to monitor, HDMI out to client screen. XLR audio out to either mixer or focusrite scarlet 2i2 to manage audio levels. Speakers are Genelecs.
We never had the audio issue in Premiere when audio went over USB straight to the Focusrite, but in AVID, I can only get video and audio playback by choosing BlackMagic as output.
BlackMagic Desktop Video audio output, has been dialled all the way back to -12/-20 and I've dialled the gain on the Focusrite all the way down.
I can't reduce the BlackMagic output any more, can I?
