Intensity Shuttle Aspect Ratio Handling

I'm knocking my head up against the wall here. I purchased Intensity Shuttles expecting to be able to use them in my client-ready editing suites only to find out that they cannot handle aspect ratio outputs other than 1.76:1 (16x9). Given how popular 2:1, 2:35 and 2.4:1 are in the media world, I just can't wrap my head around why the product, having been in the wild for nearly a decade, has not addressed this issue.

I'm practically going to have to return this and find another solution unless someone has a workaround. But even then, workarounds suck for stability and consistency. Why hasn't this been fixed?
