DESKTOP VIDEO Support for Premiere 2020

PostTue Jan 14, 2020 11:58 am

Just wondering, when is support for Premiere 2020 planned in the DESKTOP VIDEO application?

Right now, its not detecting my decklink monitor mini at all.

Best regards,

...disinstall and then reinstall Desktop video last version.

I've done this several times with no results. I have the decklink monitor mini pcie card. Works fine with resolve but with any adobe product it is undetected. In the documentation for the latest version of Desktop Video it is stated that it supports cc 2018 and 2019. So my question stands.

I have a completely different problem, but it is related to the BM Desktop Video.
Both myself and a collegue have iMacPros and BM Ultrastudio MiniMonitors. With certain ProRes4444 files from Alexa cameras the playback is choppy and full of green flash frames. When you switch the Mercury Playback Engine to Software Only the files playback fine. Also, if you use an AJA box the files playback fine. It also works fine in Premiere 2019. So based on my trouble shooting, something changed in Premiere 2020's GPU accelerated Mercury Playback Engine that is not playing nice with BM Desktop Video.

Chiming in with a Me too on this. Thought my BM hardware was on the way out until I freelanced elsewhere on different hardware, same problem. Experienced it on Ultrastudio 4K, BM Mini Monitor and Intensity Extreme. And yes, it is Alexa stuff. If you proxy it it's fine. And it was fine in 2019. Again, I have swapped out the BM hardware for AJA and there is no problem, so it points to a BM driver issue.

I'm having this problem right now with the latest version of Desktop Video Video 11.5.1 on Catalina 10.5.5. Works just fine in Resolve and isn't detected at all in Premiere Pro 2019 or 2020.
