Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 for OSX Feedback

PostSun Aug 04, 2013 9:26 am

Just wondering how many people have got the new beta driver (9.7.9) to work without any issues on OSX for the USB 3.0 Shuttle. I just got a new Mac -- I really want to get the USB 3.0 to have flexibility to move from my PC which has USB 3.0 to my new Mac. If there's major issues though, I'll take the Thunderbolt one instead. But just looking for feedback regarding the beta driver from anyone that's tried it.

Haven't encountered any problem since its installation last month. Successfully used on live shows as well as to capture footages.

Hardware: MBPr OSX 10.8.4, BMD Intensity shuttle USB 3.0

I/O used so far: Composite(IN/Out) and HDMI(IN)

Software: Adobe PPro, BM Media Express and Arena

My only issue is that when using Adobe FMLE is that you cant use the audio from the BMIS USB 3.0. Other then that its been working out great for me on my Macbook Pro.

iMac 2012 (the latest) OS 10.8.4
Intensity Shuttle USB 3 with Blackmagic Desktop Video 9.7.9

The software appears to install correctly (including an update of firmware) and the Preferences Pane appears to be aware of the hardware.

OS doesn't see hardware at all.

Adobe Suite CC doesn't see hardware at all.

FCP 7 can use the video output but not the audio (it appears to be missing).

This is my first Blackmagic Product and I was not aware that this product was in beta; I have no answers from Blackmagic yet.

Just installed the latest (beta) driver. Plugged it in. No device recognizable.

OSX 10.8.4
MacBookPro late 2012 (pre-Retina)

I will uninstall and try again...
I don't understand firmware update? Should I plug the Intensity in while installing the driver, or what? hm... I see no explanation on BM site about the driver for OSX.

Didn't work.
I have the feeling I need to update the firmware onboard the Intensity box, but how?
Also I thought maybe try through Windows Parrallel. But when I try to download the software on the BM support website, I get an error now... "Error loading MacroEngine script (file: /support/SupportDetails.cshtml)"

Can't handle this now. ghee... don't have a clue what to do now to make this work. anyone?
