Requirements

Any ideas, what I'm doing wrong? I can get Resolve Lite to launch.... I read the requirements, and I think I meet all.

I'm running a Mac Pro Quad-Core Intel Xeon (8 gig RAM) with:
My Cuda driver is 5.0.36
Gfx's Card is ATI Radeon HD 5770

I still get that message "NO CUDA ACCELERATION HARDWARE DETECTED!"

Can anyone tell me what I need for Resolve to work on my computer, or what I'm doing wrong?

Thank you,

Roge

If all you have is the HD5770 card, then CUDA is not used at all.

Make sure OSX is in 64 bit mode. If it's in 32 bit mode, you will get this message.

IF OSX is in 64 bit mode, see if you can log in, and load the default project, and save the Preferences file then restart Resolve, and see if that helps.

I can't login? I opened the Activity Monitor to check if the apps are running in 64 bit, and they are all running 64bit, including Resolve.... help?

I'm confused--is it possible to run Resolve with an ATI card on a Windows machine? ATI 7870, btw.

EDIT: NM, seems like ATI cards are only supported on Apple machines right now.

Uninstall Resolve using the uninstall button in the Resolve installer dmg.

READ the WARNING BELOW!

Then Trash the /Library/Preferences/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve folder.

Then Trash the /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve folder.

WARNING: Only do the 2 Trash steps above on a brand new Resolve install with no user data created! These steps will remove existing Resolve user data! This process is ONLY to be used on a NEW Resolve INSTALL having similar issues.

Reinstall Resolve.

I'll try these steps, hopefully it will work. I'm really looking forward to trying DaVinci Resolve. I'm in Knoxville right now (color correcting), but I'll try those steps on Friday. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks!
