Hi,
Planning to get DeckLink Studio 4K for video monitoring to a Eizo that only has Displayport input. So first I woudl need a convertor, but secondly from the tech spec the card seems to not support 2k resolutions on the HDMI?
Someone has experiences with it?

Thanks in advance

I think this is true as at least 1 other user complained that 2K doesn't work over HDMI.
You can buy SDI to DP converter, but those are quite expensive.

I confirm that HDMI only supports 16:9 formats.

Quite hindering, but I wonder if intentional cause otherwise the mini decklink 4k would cover so much of the needs. And so if it is only a software limitation (so hopefully one day it could be lifted) or it hes been embedded in the implementation of the HDMI port.

It's most likely cost savings. More expensive cards, like AJA support 2K. Top BM models also support 2K.

Pretty sure not even the 12g extreme hdmi supports anything but 16:9.

Maybe I'm thinking about SDI :)

Yeah SDI definitely can.
