Hi,
I am really new to video post processing, but have been using Aperture and Nik Software plug-in's since day one. I love the black and white conversions I get out of Silver Effects Pro http://www.niksoftware.com/nikcollection/usa/silverefexpro.html, do you know of any tutorials o'r presets that would be a good starting point for black and white post processing in Resolve?
Kind regards

A strategy would be to apply a node with saturation all the way down after a main node and then adjust different hues in the hue vs saturation curve or other color correction tabs to change the relations of the source colors before they are converted to monochrome as well as using channel mixer tab in the node before that, while looking at the final image.
This will be extremely dependent on the quality of your footage. Unlike the digital photography video sources have limited color information as an attempt to lower the bandwidth, so the quality of your results will be worse coming from DSLR or any other footage that has anything other than at least 4:2:2 signal at at least 10bit.
