I recently received some Canon C300 footage in the MXF format and was surprised that I had no trouble with it in Resolve or Premiere CS6 or in a lot of programs. So, I thought it might be convenient to use the MXF format to render from DaVinci Resolve back to Premiere. However, after many tries I couldn't get Resolve 9.1.5 to render a file that would load in Premiere or anything else. In Premiere I get a message "reported generic error." Has anybody been able to render good MXF's in Resolve and what is the trick?

If it is a mac, can you verify that there are no spaces/symbols in the file path/name?

I am running 9.1.5 on Windows 7 64 bit.
I don't believe it is a file naming issue.
Here's some interesting information.

I am rendering to MXF DNxHD.
DaVinci can read the MXF it renders, but Premiere rejects it.
When I render the same shot in Premiere to the preset MXF OP1a as an XDCAM 50MBS file both Premiere and DaVinci can read it.
Now, even if I choose the Avid roundtrip in DaVinci (which sets up a MXF wrapped DNxHD) the file is read in DaVinic and rejected by Premiere.

I do not have many Ideas...

Can you try to de-install - re-install the QT drivers?

I'm going to try and make sure drivers for everything are up to date...I'll get back with the results.
