>solved< Help needed: reference frame H/V flipped

We have a curios problem and i will try to explain as best as i can.

LInux-9.1.4 Resolve is the platform

let's say that I have a shot and I'm grabbing a still store. In the GUI the image of the still store is correct.

Now i wipe that with the original and do a split screen: the image from the still store is 180 degrees rotated (or flipped both Horizontal and vertical.)

The same happen if I try to compare the timeline shot (with no memory/color/PTZR) with itself: the Image on the reference is 180degrees rotated.

If I go in the menu for the sizing of the image, all the controls are on "default": I tried top move all of them and reset them to (0) and they are ok.

I do not see any specific controls that will flip/flop just the reference, but I suspect that there could be a way (think if you have stereo dailies and you need to flip one eye to compare with the other just in the dailies process).

so, two questions:
Anyone say this before?
Is there such controls that will allow me to flip/flop back?

w.

Hi Walter... if you're using the Resolve panels, go to the sizing tab, you'll see 'ref wipe h-flip' and 'ref wipe y-flip' as contextual buttons in the center panel. Clicking those will, in fact, flip the ref image on either axis.

cheers,

John

You're right, the "mode" menu was still on (the red one) and i could not see the two extra buttons...

next time I will read the manual, I promise...

The silly thing was that I spend half an hour to find that button in the GUI without luck, and it was right in front of me all the time..

Not using Resolve Panels but found the 'flip' buttons in sizing. Problem is they flip my timeline image, not the ref. image. Any way to flip the grabbed ref. image?

Thanks.
