Problem importing a still frame extended as top layer

Hello Davincis
I am working on a sequence imported via .xml from premiere cs6
everything is working fine, the only thing that is not working is the top track layer from premiere which is a tiff file with layers (so with alpha/transarancy).
on premiere I simply extended the tiff file to the entire sequence. to make it as long as the entire edit.
basically its working as a 2.35 aspect ratio crop on a 5dm2 edited footage.

first. davinci doesn't find the footage so it gives me the offline logo on the clip.
then i manually import the clip on the master media pool.
then when I am in the "conform" board I right click on the offline timeline and click on "force conform with selected media pool clip" but davinci gives me the error message:
"the replacement clip is too short.
please select another clip in the media pool"

it look like davinci thinks that single .tiff file can not be extended for all the sequence length.
is there eny way around this ?
thank you a lot
gianca.

do not try to force conform, you want to speed effect that to 0% and that will give you plenty of tails.

If you want a simple 2.35 blanking, do not do in the way you're doing, use the actual masking/blanking of the davinci itself, or setup a canvas that already has the aspect ratio you need...

Thank you walter, that was very easy actually.

anyway I was trying to force conform because davinci didn't connect with the file and it gave me a black clip.
but, this is not needed anymore. thanks to the blanking option.
thank you again
have a wonderfull day.
