Restoring an old project

I have an old, delivered project, but we're re-delivering one act for creative reasons. Most of it is the same shots, just in a different order - so I don't want to re-grade the entire act.

I call up the old project (or rather a copy of the old project) and point to the media folder- <change source folder> - which has a slightly different path after being restored from archive. The media reconnects fine on the 'media' page, and on the 'color' page, but the project locks up when I go to the 'conform' page (beach ball of death.)

Since I need to use the conform page to import the revised XML to conform the re-arranged clips.. . any idea why I might be locking up on the conform page? Any clues appreciated.

Solved the problem by creating a new project and using color trace to copy the grades from the old problem project. Thanks for the suggestion Juan Salvo.
