HI,

on the product page for davinci resolve (http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve) there's a picture where someone's working with the software using three screens. at least it looks like it, but actually the software only runs on one screen and the scopes advertised in the product description (that can be moved to a second screen) are much smaller than the scopes shown on the right screen in the picture (which are actuallyUltraScope, which only works with a camera but not the stuff you're actually grading).

The left screen makes me assume that it's possible to show the grading result on another external screen, which also isn't possible.

It's not that you can't really do like on the picture (just open a still on the left screen and an ultrascrope in the right) but come on. what's the point of showing something in the left if it's not related to what you do in davinci resolve and what's the point of showing live scopes from a camera while editing different footage?

really, the picture makes me think, the software supports multiple screens which it doesn't

please, you don't need to overhaul the whole interface and make it dockable like the adobe stuff, but at least:

• allow us to open multiple scope windows and resize them freely
• allow us to display the main preview on an external device

I have a nice editing place with a 24" CRT (thunderbolt->VGA adapter) for grading, a 27" imac display for controls and a 30" cinema display (thunderbolt->dualLink DVI adapter) for the scopes and now i can't use two thirds of it with this app? :/

Hi, Somian - I'm not sure what's up with your system; without trying to be sarcastic, you might need to spend a little more time with the manual to get things running the way you would like.

Here's a live view of my system running; everything is live and interactive - scopes, external display - including a 3D LCD you don't see in this shot, mirroring the broadcast monitor. (Please excuse the lousy iPhone photo.)

No stills pasted on the screen, no Ultrascope running scopes... you might want to review the sections in the manual - particularly the sections of the Resolve configuration guide - referring specifically to driving external monitors. Everything works like a charm...

Now, if I just had that snazzy control surface from the photo you pointed to.
