Importing iPhone 11 footage codec issues

PostFri Jun 26, 2020 6:13 am

So when I was checking the media of my iPhone 11, it couldn't play because of a missing codec. And the solutions I could find were to just concert it to mp4. Yes, I know that I need to get a real camera, but I need something that can solve this "missing codec" or non playable footage. Maybe some video converter software recommendations? Is there a better way?

You need to convert the video to constant framerate. Try Shutter Encoder which is free to download and use.
Resolve Studio 19.0b1 build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.

If you are more nerd like me
Ffmpeg

This a string to convert in prores

ffmpeg -i input.xxx -c:v prores_ks -profile:v 3 -c:a copy -vendor ap10 output.mov
