Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 won't start

PostSat Aug 24, 2013 11:05 am

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0. My machine is a x58 based PC that has sufficient resources. The board doesn't have USB 3.0. I then went and purchased the USB4300NS ( http://www.sunix.com.tw/itpd.php?cid=2& ... 4&pid=1461 ) from Sunix which makes use of the Renesas uPD720201 chipset ( Which is one of the required chipsets for USB 3.0 ). I have also plugged in the required SATA power supply, even put it on it's own rail on the modular power supply. This card provides +5V / 900mA (each port).

The problem I sit with is that every time I plug in the Shuttle I get a "This port doesn't have enough power, please select a different hub" and the device status in the Device manager shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

I have switched off all power management on the system and it still will not start. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Davin Hansen

Sounds like that card isn't compatible. I'd exchange it for another make
