Using Proxie Grades as Final Grade Starting Point

PostTue Aug 27, 2013 6:15 pm

I am sure there is some easy way to do this, but I have searched around and have come up empty.

Lets say I am doing dailies on resolve, then send those to post, how do I (easily) load those same grades when I import the XML back into resolve?

Technically is you reload the footage in the same timeline (and they have the same name) your grades should stay in place... Makes sense?

You can either trash everything in your Media Pool and import your new clips or maybe also use the import additional files with tight (or loose) filename match... It's under import when you right click on your timeline.

Not sure if I understood you problem properly!

assuming that you have a database with all the shots (dailies), i think you can make a new session, load the online material, reassemble and do a color trace against the Daily timeline....

(never tried, you need an answer from someone that actually tried)

If the database is coherent, a shot with the same tape id/TC should recall the same color information you had before.
