Issue with Premiere Pro Effects

PostFri Aug 30, 2013 4:45 am

I am new to this forum. I did a fair bit of search before I wrote this.

I bought a mini monitor card and the HDMI out put from Premiere Pro 5.5 is working fine (Win 7 x64, Nvidia Quadro 2000 graphics Card). However, I have issues with native effects like dissolves when using Black Magic presets (AVCHD 1080 50i for eg.). The time line stops playing when reaching the effects. All non native effects working as usual (need to render).

Do any of you have similar issue? Can any of you help with some info?

What's the spec of the rest of your system?
THe Quadro 2000 is very low spec when it comes to Cuda cores which is what Prem Pro uses for the Mercury playback engine so you're not really getting much in the way or realtime playback from that card. For less than the price of a Quadro 2000 you can buy a Geforce GTX 680 or 770 both of which have a lot more cuda cores,

Quadro 2000 - 192 Cuda cores
Quadro 2000k - 384 Cuda cores
GTX 680 & 770 1536 Cuda Cores

Most full size motherboards that have at least 1 PCI-e 1x slot free will work with it. Without saying more about what you want to do and what software you want to use it's difficult to say
Also in future you should start your own thread as this has nothing to do with the OP's problem

Thanks for the replies.

I do understand Quadro 2000 is on the lower side. However, it is working perfectly with standard (non-blackmagic) presets.
