Resolve playback/export audio problem

Newbie here with Resolve.
I have a timeline with some footage from the BMCC (dng + audio). It plays fine and exports ok. But I've been tying to mimic 16 mm film grain adding a top video layer with overlay. Image looks nice and with a very 16 mm filmic look, but at the moment I put this layer I am loosing the audio from the original footage (during normal playback and of course during export). Probably I am doing something wrong...Is there any workaround?

Can you attach your clip as a RGB matte and dial in the grain using a Layer Mixer node?
