Advise with Intensity shuttle and up scaler for VHS capture

PostTue Oct 13, 2020 11:01 pm

Has anyone had any luck or have advise for capturing VHS with a VCR with composite cables a HDMI up scaler and an intensity shuttle?? I though I was given a cheep solution over a TBC. It seems like the Intensity shuttle will not recognize the signal. All the cables and hard ware work independently, just not as a chain. I am completely new at AV production so I hope this is a settings issue within the desktop video setup or Media Express. The Upscaler is a Neoteck AVCVBS to HDMI and the VCR is a Sanyo Dvd VCr campo but only used component for DVD. Thanks so much!!

It seems that scaler outputs 1080p60 only and Intensity Shuttle can work only up to 1080p30. Try outputting 720p60 from the scaler and see if at least that works.

Still no luck. Thanks for responding. It might be time to look for a TBC.
