How do you create Effects Library Preset transitions?

PostTue Oct 27, 2020 9:09 pm

In the edit page there are a list of pre-installed video and audio transitions, as well as an array of other effects listen in the Effects Library window.

You can gain additional effects via download from third-party sources (often paid)

My question is how do these third-parties create these drag-and-drop transitions? is it possible to develop a transition in fusion and then re-import it as a preset to be used from the Effects Library?

I have these nice alpha transition mattes from Stanza that are a hassle to utilize in Resolve, and I would love to be able to make into drag-and-drop presets.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Hello. I'm on a phone so not easy to reply. Yes you can do drag & drop transition mattes.

Do you know how to make a drag & drop transition?

Head over to my blog post on the subject. Then all you do is either make your own keyer or use the deltakeyer node to split out the black n white portion of the matte.

An easy way is to use a loader node to bring in the matte but then save each one as a preset.

Let me know if you need further clarification.
