Help me spend some money!
Not quite post production, not quite live production. Switching four cameras with an ATEM Mini Pro ISO like it's for live production, but with no intent of streaming, just going to open the project in Resolve to put the finishing touches on it before uploading to YouTube. Here's what I've got.
1. Four Sony NEX-FS700 cameras. They output 8-bit 4:2:2 through the HDMI port. And they'll record 8-bit 4:2:0 AVCHD to an SD card at the same time (as backup, just in case).
2. Four fiber optic HDMI cables - 30' length - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V8RS3F5?th=1
3. One ATEM Mini Pro ISO
4. Mackie mixer, amp, JBL reference monitors, various mics - all balanced analog, 1/4" and Canon.
What I think I need for the recording studio . . .
a. Figured to record program out to T5, or similar SSD but someone suggested a Multidock 10G.
b. Need to monitor program output at the switcher and the individual cameras so I need a monitor.
What I think I need for the edit bay . . .
c. I am piecing together a suitable Resolve computer. HD content for YouTube - AMD 3050X system, one RTX20xx card or maybe an RTX30xx if they come available any time soon.
d. I have two adequate computer monitors but again, I need a program monitor. Thought maybe a 4K OLED television would be good enough (YouTube how-to videos not Titanic, so little to zero grading going on but I'm asking because I don't know). And I need some way to get signal out of the computer and to said monitor, thinking HyperDeck 4K - but - wide open to ideas.
Probably missing a lot, which is why I am asking.
Finally, I've got a rack full of 9-pin control 525i analog equipment (Betacam, DVCpro, Hi8, SVHS, etc.) and because I'll want to occasionally try to use standard definition material, then I'm wondering about a Teranex converter, but I'm wide open to thoughts.
Anyway, I've got a pocketful of money burning a hole . . . help me spend some of it, please!
