URSA 12K footage wont import into Premiere

PostThu Nov 05, 2020 7:21 pm

I updated BRAW studio to its latest version but for some reason every time I try to import Ursa 12K BRAW footage into Premiere I'm given this dreaded error message "A read from an open file failed". Does anyone know what this might be?

BRAW Studio is created by a 3rd party manufacturer, please contact them direct for support.

Hi Angeline,
To import URSA 12K footage you need a BETA version, either BRAW Studio BETA https://www.autokroma.com/blog/BETA-For ... Science-V5
Or Blackmagic RAW Plugin BETA you can find on Support Page of this website

Don't forget it's a BETA that should not be used in production, and you won't be able to go back to a previous (non BETA) version ! Only use it to test your 12K footage, new firmware or Color Gen V5 ;)

And yet another reason to move away from Premiere and its failure to truly support all native camera codecs as advertised.

It would be worst if it was natively supported by Adobe Premiere Pro. You would need to wait 6 months to get the BETA. Here you have the BETA right away and even have two choices of plugins
