Hi There,
Hopefully someone has encountered a prob like this one and is an easy tick box fix....
I am running 8 Resolve stations for transcoding proxies for 9 Avid editors. We are getting about 40 cards in per day in various codecs and on various formats.
I am running 2 Resolve Studio on Mini Mac (Out of necessity at this stage)
2 free Resolve on 2 more Mini Mac's.
2 Resolve Studio on 2 Beefy Servers. (Windows 10)
2 free Resolve on 2 more of these Servers. (Windows 10)
The Mac mini's are getting through the transcoding and all is fine apart from us falling behind
The Windows machines are transcoding really fast but when we try import into Avid we are getting a quarantine message saying the files are not .mxf's
The Video files are identical between the Mac and Windows transcoding machines as far as we can see however the Mac is generating the 8 audio tracks whereas and the Windows transcode seems to generate the audio track files but they have 0kb size.
All of us have gone through the settings in Resolve to see if there is a tick box somewhere we havent ticked but the settings on the machines are identical within Resolve as far 6 of us are concerned.
We were thinking it was perhaps a permissions error from the storage volume and the AD but have shared and given full permission to all and still get the same issue. This does not fully explain why it would be on the Macs and not the Windows machines though.
Storage volume is a Promax Platform with Avid Collaboration so it behaves like a Nexis.
Resolve 16.2.7
Catalina OS on Macs
Windows 10 1909 on Servers.
Promax is running Windows Server
Any advise or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Trev
