The Da Vinci Resolve Studio 16 activation key.

Can anyone help me.
I purchased the BMPCC6K recently and the box says that it includes DaVinci Resolve Studio 16. I did install the software successfully because it had an installation displayed on the barcode key on the BMPCC box. When I wanted to activate the Da Vinci Resolve Studio 16, it said Please enter your license key to activate or make sure you have a Da Vinci Resolve Dongle connected. But I couldn't find the activation key anywhere near the installation key? Why does the box say that it includes the software when I have to purchase the actual software to activate it.
Am I making a mistake? Is it that I simply cant identify the activation key? Or am I right? I do have to buy the software separately.
