Resolve + DeckLink PCIe HDMI monitoring delay and desynch
Hello to all of you,
We are setting up a new post house facility here in France and are experiencing weird problems with our HDMI monitoring.
While the SDI output works flawlessly, the HDMI output seems to be a little delayed and more importantly it drops out every time we hit the pause button or attempt to scroll the timeline, causing the HDMI display (a digital projector) to go black for several seconds until it resynchs and notifies us that it has found a signal.
We went for a DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G Card and that device can be used both by DaVinci Resolve and Pro Tools on the computer it's hooked into.
The weird thing is that Pro Tools does not give us the same experience. While editing in the timeline both the SDI output and the HDMI output are steady and in synch, just as expected. I really don't understand why it is not doing the same in Resolve...
Has anyone of you experienced similar issues when trying to have simultaneous SDI+HDMI outputs? Or even better have any clue about how to fix this?
All the best,
Forest
