Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt

Hello for a very urgent request. I want to use buy the box"Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt" in order to digitize from Mini DV format to a Mac running MACOS X 10.15.3 Catalina. Without trying to control the camera. Is it possible?

I had the same question -- and I'm trying out a cable path now going from thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2, then thunderbolt to firewire 800, then firewire 9 pin to firewire 4 pin. Not sure yet if it'll work, but hopefully yes.
