Audio Editing

I Have tried to edit two channels of audio form two sources into one Camera in 16 i had no problems but in 17 the option to Add a Channel to be able to split the to channels is greyed out i have the free version has this option been removed from the free version or is there a setting i have missed

I Have sorted it know seems you have to make the changes before you bring the Video into the Time Line
