Premiere Pro crashes if Blackmagic BRAW plugin is present

I hope this is the correct place to post this issue, please bear with me if not.

I edit with Adobe Premiere, right now I have both 2020 and 2021 installed on my 2017 MacBook Pro, with OSX Big Sur.

I occasionally need to import braw material, so I installed the Blackmagic import plugin. All works well as far as importing and using the clips.

My issue comes when trying to add a sequence to Media Encoder's queue from Premiere 2021. Even when I am NOT using .braw material, and not using the plugin in any way, Premiere crashes and will not enqueue to Media Encoder. I CAN encode single segments or sequences right from Premiere, but I cannot make a list of clips in Media Encoder. This issue is not present if I stick to Premiere 2020.

Help from an Adobe support person suggested I remove plugins and add them back one at a time until I find the culprits. When I remove Blackmagic package from my plugins folder, I am able to enqueue. If I add it back, no dice.

I know this is a Blackmagic forum, and I'm presenting an Adobe issue- but I'm sure the issue is coming from the Blackmagic plugin. So I'm asking for help from any of you with knowledge of the plugin's compatibility with both/either Premiere 2021 and Big Sur.

Thanks for any tips/tricks/ideas/workarounds!

Hello,

Which plugin version did you use ? You can try with latest stable release 2.0 but I think you should also try with the last Beta 2.1.beta4 which has special support for Big Sure.

Could you also test with the free TRIAL of BRAW Studio ? It's an alternative BRAW plugin in PPro.

Please tell us if you have the same problem.

Best,
