I really like the idea of this kit and ALMOST clicked on BUY IT NOW.
Alas looking at the photos I retracted the decision - it's USB.
I am hoping this post attracts the attention of BMD to provoke their looking providing an offering which is DANTE or ethernet capable as well as USB
When I ingest heavyweight SSDs I go direct to a landing area on the network. Hopping through USB to a remote server creates a bottleneck and it is duplicitous to copy it to a local machine and then to the remote storage.
Additionally - I can control the risk of material being off loaded to unauthorised hardware and then seeing rushes on Tik Tok, Instagram, facebook, youtube etcetera - mega important in this day of leaks and piracy.
