Troubleshooting crashes

PostMon Oct 01, 2012 5:19 pm

Trying to get round tripping working from PPro.

Currently when I try importing the FC xml export from PPro Resolve Lite crashes without warning.

Shouldn't there be some sort of a bug report automatically generated?

The other time Resolve Lite crashes for me is in the tracker.

What are some suggested steps to try when it comes to Resolve crashing? Help!

Resolve Lite 9.0.1lite.010
OSX 10.8.2
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB 1333 MHz DDR3

On my system (Mac Pro 2010, OS X 10.8.2) Resolve 9.01 crashes every time, when OS X awakes from sleep mode while Resolve was running. As soon as I touch any parameter in Resolve: bang!

Regarding the mentioned problems with XML import from PPro: I did not experience crashes here, but I see less import errors in Resolve after importing the PPro XML into FCP7, exporting XML there and importing the FXP7 XML into Resolve (compared to direct PPro XML -> Resolve).

Thanks. Yes would have tried that as the xml export from PPro can be quite messy(always exports entire project). But don't own or have a copy of FCP7.

There should be some 3rd party tool that helps clean up the XML.
