I am planning on starting a new project on DaVinci. I'm also planning on uploading my files to Dropbox. My question is: can I do both at the same time? As in, can I edit the film on DaVinci while simultaneously uploading the files to Dropbox? The files are on an external SSD drive. BRAW.

You can. Editing never changes your originals.

I know editing doesn't change the originals. I meant is there a tech problem using Resolve and Dropbox on the same files at the same time.

In theory it will just slow everything down. But since uploading will probably be pretty slow if you don't have a very fast connection, you may not even notice much.
