Micro converter SDI to HDMI 3G vs Non-3G - compatible?

PostMon Jun 21, 2021 2:32 pm

Hello,

I have two of the older SDI to HDMI micro converters. I needed to replace one of them and picked up one of the SDI to HDMI 3G micro converters. The power and video LEDs light up, but I'm not getting any picture out of the new 3G micro converter. I've tested all of the cables and they are fine. Any ideas? Does this 3G unit require different cables?

Sure they do! The older ones are TB2, the new ones need a proper Thunderbolt 3 cable, not only USB-C.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.
