Blackmagic Raw and Media Encoder Bug?

PostThu Nov 11, 2021 12:06 am

Hi there folks, I am running into an issue with BRAW and Adobe Media Encoder where the export in media encoder is not respecting the BRAW settings. I am exporting a clip recorded from a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K in BRAW, adjusting the white balance using the official Blackmagic Raw plugin (v2.2) in Premiere Pro (v22), changing the color science from gen4 to gen5, and then exporting in ProRes 422 from media encoder. I note that the BRAW settings, the white balance, had not changed in the preview window, and the exported file. I can provide a sample project if needed. Thanks for your help!

Hi, we will look into this. So far in our testing the issue seems intermittent and not always reproducible so if you have a project where it always happens then that would be great. You can PM a link if you want to keep it private. Thanks.

Thanks. It seems to be intermittent on my end as well on a new day. Unfortunate that this is so hard to track down, but the I'll PM over a link the next time it happens.
