No audio after converters

PostMon Nov 22, 2021 9:00 pm

Hi there,

I'm having issues transmitting audio over an SDI line from a PC to a beamer (or a TV, or other equipments). I'm pretty sure I'm missing something with my converters. They're all up-to-date with the latest firmware.
Transmitting directly through HDMI is successful : audio + video are played back by the device.

But introducing an SDI line with BMD converters leads to no audio on the receiving end.

Here is my setup:
PC with HDMI output ---> Bidirectional micro converter 3G --- > SDI line ---> Bidirectional micro converter 3G > HDMI input of device

I'm open to new ideas, what to test, what to do. Thanks!

Is it possible that your PC is sending encoded audio out like AC3 /DTS?
Or 44100 Hz instead of 48000?
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
